Patch, c sharp files, and a binary file that is csharp

I have a developer that created a patch from work he started on in the wrong stream. When he went to apply the patch to the workspace he wanted to, RTC complained that one of the files is unable to patch binary file. However the whole change set had total of 12 *.cs files but for some reason this one form1.cs file won't patch. How can RTC patch the other 12 files and not this one? The file is a text file which I verified by loading in Notepad++. We have not setup the MIME type in RTC to handle CSharp files and imho shouldn't have to do that. I just don't understand why RTC handled the other 12 cs files but this one?

I set the mime type in the eclipse client to plain/text & platform, thinking this would help but that doesn't change the file properties. Now I get a different message.

Form1.cs - 19 lines (unable to match context lines)

RTC doesn't allow me to do anything from here to resolve this problem.
