Jazz extenstions on JazzHub

One of out students in Australia is contemplating writing a Jazz / Rational Team Concert extension .

Do we have this level of flexibility in JazzHub or would the student be better off downloading / installing their own copy of RTC and this having full administrative access ?

John Schilt

- the potential extension is around the topic of workload management and task assignment... the project is researching the issues around 3 TimeZones (skills, availability and timezone).

Hi, John,

Great - this sounds like a very interesting project and we're glad to see it happening. It would help to know a little more about what the student is planning to do. It might be good to start by creating a project in JazzHub and see if that's sufficient. If this is an extension that going to be an extension to the client software that can probably be done with a JazzHub project. If it grows into more than that - a server-side extension, for example - you may need more permissions than a JazzHub project will allow.

Let us know how we can help.

Thanks,

Brian
