RTC on IBM i: Managing Service Programs

jeff tickner (51710) | asked Mar 26 '12, 5:43 p.m.
We are looking at using RTC for IBM i with RDp.
How can you manage objects without source in RTC, like service programs or bound programs or data areas?
Is there anyway?
Thanks

We are using RTC for IBM i since 2010 and have no problems. In RTC we only have the sourcecode management and dataaraeas as well as bnddirs are native on system-i.

In RTC you have 2 views.
On the one side RTC and the i-project which is link to a native i-series library where you have stored all sources of your project for pgms, srvpgms, dds an so on.
On the other side you have the remote-system-explorer where you can create dataareas and bnddirs as you have done until today.
For TeamBuilds and Deployment to Test bzw. Production target system we use a summary of CL-PGMS written in house.
