Linking Test Plans across projects

I know that within a Life Cycle project, I can have a parent test plan and multiple child test plans. Is it possible to link a parent test plan to a child test plan that is in a different project? Or have multiple QM projects in a Lifecycle project?

Unfortunately, you cannot link test plans in different project areas.
