ClearCase Bridge - Installation fails

RTC 3.0.1.2
ClearCase 8.0.0.1

I have tried few scenrios:-

1. Installing RTC client extension in the RationalSDLC package. Not available.
2. Installing RTC client extension with ClearCase Remote Client into the same package. Not available if ClearCase already installed.
3. Installing ClearCase Remote Client extension into the RTC package. The installation completed successfuly but the ClearTeam Explorer perspective refuses to work. An error message:- "Problems opening perspective 'com.ibm.rational.team.client.ui.ExplorerPerspective'.

Any ideas?

Maybe ClearTeam Explorer requries java 1.6 where as RTC 3.0.1.2 uses java 1.5 by default. If this is the case, how can I fix it?
