RTC 3.0.1.1 on zLinux

Does anybody run RTC 3.0.1.1 on zLinux ?
I could not install on RHEL 6.2 (IBM Installer does not run on 64bit ?)
and on RHEL 5.8 the RTC...repo.zip package does not include s390 eclipse.

What are you trying to install? The server or the client? zLinux is a supported platform for the server but it is not a supported platform for the client. I believe there is support coming for it in the upcoming 4.0 release.

Guy,

I interpret https://jazz.net/library/article/632 as RTC 3.0.1.1 supporting zLinux from a client perspective. Am I wrong?

RTC Client for zLinux (All new for 3.0.1.1)

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5.0 Update 4 x86-64 System z
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1 x86-64 System z (new for 3.0.1.2)
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10.0 SP2 x86-64 System z

You are absolutely correct. Support was added during 3.0.1.1. I have been spending some time chasing this all down and I believe that this has boiled down to possibly some missing documentation. This work item https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/173917 has a draft copy of some install doc for the zLinux client. I have yet to find this in any final install doc... but we will get that rectified.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and hopefully this draft will give you the information that you need.

.

FYI - This support article documents what needs to be done to install the IBM IM on RHEL 6 : http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21459143

I don't know about the client, but the have installed RTC server 3.0.1 on RHEL 6.2.

Note for those that are thinking about installing the server on Linux you might have to perform this step too: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.jazz.install.doc%2Ftopics%2Fc_special_considerations_linux.html

I did the above mentioned on my RHEL 6.2 installation on zLinux. But installing the gtk2.s390 and libXtst.s390 did not help. Same messages with libstc++... Did anybody have tried that exact combination ?
