get RTC to automatically set current WI & assoc. change

After my RTC crashed(which is a separate issue) I have 2 problems now related to "current work item"
1) when I set a work item task as "in progress" that task no longer automatically becomes my "current work item". I now always have to manually use the "set as current work item".

2)Then when I do have it set as current WI and I check changes into a new change set the change sets are no longer automatically associated with that work item. I have to manually associate them.

I have been looking for the options to make this automatic again but I haven't been able to find them. Could someone point me to where I set it so both of these are automatic again once I set a task as "in progress"?
Thanks

Crashing shouldn't have affected this, but note that this unctionality
was removed from RTC-3.0 (because some users were complaining that they
didn't want current work set in this way). If you'd like to get that
functionality back (via a preference), you'd need to submit an
enhancement request.

I have seen bugs at various times where even though I had my current
work item set, it sometimes stopped associating new change sets with my
current work item. If you encounter this, please submit a bug report.

Cheers,
Geoff
