CC Importer: Deliver preconditions not met:
Hi. Just testing RTC 3.0.1.2 and the ClearCase synchronisation function and I think I've shot myself in the foot.
(n.b. this is similar to post https://jazz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20599&start=0 I found on the forum)
I've switched on a rule that work items must have an approver and now my CC sync has failed (as expected I guess) with the following message
Processed activity "Error while trying to transfer: CONTROLLABLE_RESOURCE|V:/DO_NOT_USE_main/Configuration_Management/./batch jobs
Reason Code: forbidden
Reason: 'Deliver' failed. Preconditions have not been met: Incomplete approvals: Work item 86 is missing 1 approval of type "Approval" (Scrum Master role)" in 1276 millisecond(s)
Processed activity "Cannot transfer folder "CONTROLLABLE_RESOURCE|V:/DO_NOT_USE_main/Configuration_Management" due to transfer failure of lower level object " in 0 millisecond(s)
I suspect if I left the rule enabled that forced change set comments to be entered it would have failed with this too?
I just want to ask if there's anything I can do about this without switching off the whole rule
Also, are there any plans to allow this rulle to specify an actual work item type rather tahn every type of work item?
Brilliant tool, guys!
Thanks
David Dulling

One answer
This is easy to deal with.
See the on-line help section topic:
"Creating a synchronized stream work item template"
And feel free to post a follow-up question if anything in that help
topic is unclear.
Cheers,
Geoff
