Query per WI Type Category

What is a "type category"? There are categories that you define that are values for the Filed-Against field, but that doesn't sound like what you are asking for.

Is there an easy way of querying per WI Type Category? I would like to create a query that will show the result for all the WorkItems which Type is of a certain Type Category.

Any ideas how to achieve this?

Hello Geoff,

when you create a WorkItem Type you define it's type ID and Type Category ID. All WI Types within a same category share the custom attributes and a workflow.

That's exactly why I want to query on a certain category. To show all matching WorkItems within a group of types (the ones belonging to the category).
