Error uploading 1.25GB zip file in RAM

Rupali Naik (111) | asked Jan 02 '12, 6:07 p.m.
Hi all,
I am trying to upload a 1.25 GB zip file in IE8 and am getting a "Error writing request body to server" error after almost 1.24GB is over...

Details
Browser - IE 8 (Company preffered)
RAM - RAM 7.5.0.2
Using More Options feature and choosing "NOT" to unzip the file
Process takes around 7 hrs 10 mins to upload 1.24GB and then suddenly gives this error.

Any idea what I can do to fix this? I appreciate any help.

Thanks!

What do you see in the logs? (You can get to it from the Administration->Tools page).

Are you uploading directly to the application server or is there a web server, caching proxy, etc. between your client and the application server? If there is, try uploading directly to the application server directly to see if you receive the same error.

Another suggestion... be sure the drive/disk set on the RAM
Configuration page for Local Folder has enough space for large files.

fyi... although it may not solve this particular problem... the
upload/download applet in RAM v7.5.1 provides the capability to "resume"
which is very helpful when uploading large files. If connection failures
or other situations occur, you can pickup where you left off instead
starting over again.
