Changing Jabber instant messaging passwords as user in RTC

Wolfgang Krenzer (1111) | asked Jul 18 '08, 12:04 p.m.
We have a problem using the Openfire Jabber server (3.5.2) and enabling the users to freely set their passwords. There doesn't seem to be an option within the RTC Client configuration section for the instant messaging to change the user password (RTC RC4). We also don't want to allow users to login to the openfire admin console and change passwords. Is there a recommended procedure? We use different user names for RTC and Openfire, as we weren't sure about synchronization issues.

Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Wolfgang.

Currently there no support to change the password of a Jabber account.
Still, there is

I am positive that it will be fixed in 1.0.1
