Assign team to second timeline not possible

Frank Schophuizen (19323226) | asked Dec 02 '11, 1:59 a.m.
During an (IBM) training of RTC we had the following timelines:

Development
Release 2.0
Sprint 1 (2.0)
Sprint 2 (2.0)
Maintenance
Release 1.1
Sprint 1 (1.1)
Sprint 2 (1.1)

When trying to assign team areas to timeline items, we were only able to select the development timeline items; the maintenance timeline items were not shown. The workaround was to move a timeline item to the development timeline, assign the team and move it back to the maintenance timeline.

I think we used RTC version 3.0.1. Is this a known issue or did we do something wrong?

Frank.

Hi Frank,

You can assign a team area to a Category, and if a team area is a top
level team area, you can assign the team area to a timeline (if it is
not a top level team area, then it inherits its timeline from its parent
team area), but I'm not sure what you mean by "assigning a team area to
a timeline item". Can you explain?

Cheers,
Geoff
