RTC set up issue

Neal Middlemore (536) | asked Nov 23 '11, 11:44 a.m.
Hi,

I have installed RTC and all the dependant stuff from a local IM repository rather than using the web installer. I turned the anti-virus off before doing this.

It is installed to C:\IBM rather than program files.

The JTS starts ok and reports server startup with no errors shown in the JTS tomcat window.

When I connect to https://localhost:9443/jts/setup I get a not responding error message from the browser. I added a domain to the etc/hosts file and connected to https://rtc.demo.com:9443/jts/setup but got the same error.

This is on Windows 7.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

Thanks
Neal

Did you check the proxy setting? Disable it and give a try!

Here's a few things to try:
    - Ensure you don't have a firewall blocking requests on port 9443

    - Test the above by opening a command prompt and running the command "telnet localhost 9443". You may need to install the Windows telnet client component as it's not included by default on Window 7.

    - Ensure you're running Tomcat as an administrator (right-click -> Run as Administrator)

    - Take a look at the jts.log file to see if there are any errors at an application level.
