Deleting Test Plans

June Dixon (364) | asked Nov 22 '11, 5:09 a.m.
I am a test team member to a project. A colleague who is also a test team member has created a Test Plan. He can lock this test plan to prevent me editing it but I can still delete the Test Plan. How can this be prevented

Hi June,

You can prevent yourself (and anyone else with the test team member role) from archiving test plans by revoking the relevant permission.

(1) Navigate to https://<host>:<port>/qm/admin/
(2) Click Project Areas > <project> > Permissions > Project Configuration > Test Team Member.
(3) Under Permitted Actions, remove the checkbox next to Quality Management > Save Test Plan > Archive as illustrated below.

(4) Click Save.

Cheers,
Patrick
