I have a question about the email address of the data collection user.

I know of no place where the email address of that user is used, and
have never had any trouble using a dummy email address. But of course,
that's just my experience.

Thank you for your answer :)
Do you know why an email address needs to be entered in that step?

I understand that the email address may not be used.
But I just wonder if the email address is not used, why it needs to be entered in that step.
So I'm considering what email address I should enter in case important notification is sent.

Hi

I have a related question. I didn't configure the data warehouse db during the RTC installation. I only created db for JTS and CCM tablespaces in Oracle.

I have no requirements on reporting right now. If later project teams want to do reporting, shall I create the db now or later?

You could create the DB later.
Now, regarding the ETL user. The email address of the ETL user is not used. No emails get sent to the user. Unless some one mistakenly starts assigning Work Items to the ETL user.

I'm pretty sure there is some purpose for putting email address there. Probably, someone from the Reporting team can able to answer this!

Note that Rafik (rjaouani) is a member of the Reporting team ... so
since he says the email address of the ETL user is not used, then you
can be reasonably assured that it is not used.
