Hi,

1) Can I have a dynamic linkage from the template to the projects that uses that template. For example, if I have ten projects created out of a template, any change in the template should reflect in all the 10 projects. The workaround is copy and paste the Project configuration source from the template to all the 10 projects. But can we have this in an automated way?

2) Can I have the roles assignment at the global level? For example, I have a DBA role and user "X" should be assigned to that role in RTC for all the projects. Now I don't want to assign user "X" to the DBA role in every project that I create. I should take from the global template. Is this something possible?

Request (1) is handled by "process sharing" that is available in the
current RTC release. In particular, you declare in your project area
that you are inheriting your process from another project area.

Request (2). Global permissions are defined via repository groups,
rather than roles. In particular, since every project area can have its
own custom list of roles, there it wouldn't be logically possible to
specify a role that a given user should have in all project areas.
