Removing component from components folder
Is there any way to delete a component from Components folder in the source control? I have wrongly created 10 blank component in the stream and have now replaced it with the right components but I still see the wrong components in the components folder. Any way it could be removed ? Streams shows the corrrect ones only but Components list down all. Please help.

Hi,
as far as I know there is no way to delete components in general - at least I did not find one. You can remove them from workspaces and streams but not delete them. There isa work item open for this. see: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=93126 What you can do to get them out of the way is change their owner to some person e.g. the SCM specialist or even a dummy user. They would disappear from the view in the Team Artefacts for other owners. You could potentially reuse the components later renaming them and change the owner to some other value. |
