Enactment of WI Templates from RMC warns about References

When I import WI templates generated from RMC into RTC, it shows me warning message --> 'The template contains references to repository items and should neither be used with other repositories nor in a process template'.

There are links in the template that point to a RMC site that is hosted outside the scope of RTC. So does it consider any link existence to be a reference within the repository?

When instantiating a plan from template, some templates are not listed in the template selection dialog. Is there a reason for this?

The same templates do show in the configuration Data - Work Items - Templates under Shared Templates.
