Realtion between Test Case and Script in RQM

Rao Shines (15945162) | asked Sep 23 '11, 4:56 a.m.
Hi All,

We have Test Case and Test Scripts in RQM, Can we associate more than 1 Test Script to a Test Case.

If we consider Login fucntionality Test Case as a Scenario and associate 3 Test Scripts ( Say Login Functionality - Positive, Negative and Special Character Checking) to it. If I want to create a TER than I select the Test Case and I can select any one Script only at a time.

Do I have any option to create TER's based on the Test Scripts associated with the Test Case so that Its easy for me to track the efforts and i know which scenario is failing.

Can anyone give me more details on this....

Hi Tejeswar
According to RQM model, you are advised to create one test case for each scenario you mentioned
or use test data (datapool) and drive execution with one script associated with test data for positive and negative inputs. In case of multiple testcase you can group related testcase into a testsuite.
The idea is script is a mean of implementing testcase. We provide option to add more then one script for the edge case where you might require different script depending upon the platform you run.
