workitemindex and swapping dbs

I have a few different Jazz dbs I'm using for different training/demo scenarios. I can easily switch between them using the db connection page on the Admin UI. When I do so, should I swap out the workitemindex folder as well or will it get rebuilt? I've tried this on a limited basis and the queries all seem to work just fine with no perceived delay (though the number of workitems is relatively small).

Also, is the workitemindex always expected to be in the ./server folder? One strategy I have for switching between Derby dbs is to have different folders in the server folder for each Derby db, e.g. ./server/db1/repositoryDB and ./server/db2/repositoryDB. In this scenario, can I put the corresponsing workitemindex folder in the db<n> folder or must it be in the ./server folder? Of course, if the answer to my first question is that the workitemindex folder doesn't need to be swapped, then this question is moot.

Thanks

You should swap the work item indices too. If you don't swap out the work
item index folders, the index for WI 1000 of db3 would be created in work
item index folder of db4.

You should also create work item index folder in the same folder as the db
(for e.g. /server/db1 ) to easily identify the work item index folder
associated with the database
