baseline with the same name

Angelo Corna (26358383) | asked Sep 14 '11, 9:59 a.m.
On RTC I can create different baselines with the same name.
RTC is able to manage them without problems (I think it use an unique internal ID) but for the user this behavior can be a problem.
Is there the possibility to avoid the presence of 2 different baselines with the same name?

Thanks in advance.
Bye.

Baselines have an id that increments and is displayed to the user. If a user named a baseline the same as another, the id would be different.

My team uses a timestamp in the baseline name as well to help identify when it was created but it also helps create unique names.

Thanks for your response Tim but I need to know if there is the possibility to avoid the presence of two baselines with an identical name.

There is no option to prevent baselines with the same name. Is there any way you can generate meaningful baseline names that are not duplicates? The internal ID is not meant to be exposed and isn't very readable for users.
