Hide Create New version icon?
Hi,
We have a requirement wherein once the asset reaches a certain state in the lifecycle, the asset owners in that state must see the Modify (pencil icon) and must be able to modify the asset, however, they must not see the "Create new version icon".
Is there any possibility to hide the "Create New Version" icon but at the same time keep the modify icon in the General Details Page?
Regards,
Sripriya.

The create new version works off the same rules as the create a new (any) asset.
When / who will be able to create a new version?
Note, you can create an attribute designated as say: Dev. Owner (vs. asset owner; owner can be modified to admin uid in the lifecycle).
Dev. Owner is made a collaborator with update - but can not create any new asset (assuming they do not have permissions to).

I'm not sure that will help. Because the user was able to create the
original asset in the first place. If so then they will still have the
authority to create a new version of the asset. There is no way to tie
the entitlement of creation of a new version of an asset to the asset
itself. As long as someone has create authority in any community then a
new version can be created.
