IO Error: Got minus one from a read call

Hello there,

I am setting up the Jazz Team Server for our RTC pilot project and I keep getting the following error when I configure the database Connection properties:

Upon hitting the "Test Connection" button I receive:
IO Error: Got minus one from a read call

The format for the connection string matches the example:
i.e. thin:jazzDBuser/{password}@//<oracle>:<port>/ORCL

I connected to the database using SQL+ using the username and password with no error - any ideas as to why this may be happening?
