Steps to get started with the ClearCase Synchronizer:

First, are you an experienced ClearCase administrator?
If not, you will need to find one, and have him/her work with you.

Second, are you an experienced RTC source control user?
If not, you also will need to find one, and have him/her work with you.

And then you will want both your experienced ClearCase admin and your
experienced RTC source control user to carefully read the on-line help
documentation on the ClearCase Synchronizer (you really need to read it
all through before you start using the Synchronizer, and then use it as
a reference when you actually set up your first synchronized stream).
There will be some material in the help and in the set-up wizard itself
that only your experienced ClearCase admin will understand, and other
material that only your experienced RTC source control user will
understand, but between the two of them, they will understand everything.

Now back to your original question: your experienced ClearCase
administrator will know what that string means, and will know the format
they have to use to identify a valid ClearCase label type.
