Where can I see team capacity vs. planned story points?

When I do my sprint planning, I'd like to see how many story points my team can handle (which I assume would be based on past capacity/velocity). And then I'd like to see an indicator of how many story points I've already got allocated to a sprint. This way I'd know when to stop sprint planning because my team had already reached their capacity.

Does anyone know where this is shown?

Hi Linda,

have you looked into the articles about planning in the library https://jazz.net/library/ ?

You should be able to get your team velocity from your burndown/burnup charts. Since the plans - provided the project is configured correctly - show the planned and done story points. In the web UI you can togglre through the different progress and load bars.

So this is available in the web UI only, not the Eclipse client?

Linda, it is available in both UI's it is just set to a default in the Eclipse view. You can only change it there by editing the view mode.

Please refer to the help and the library on how to do that. It is the edit button in the left upper section of the plan. See https://jazz.net/library/article/590 . Or https://jazz.net/library/article/594 they focus on the web, but you can also see load, progress etc in the eclipse plans. There are also more articles that probably touch this.
