emulating Multisite's one way sync use case
Hi Folks.
I have worked with some clients that do some amount of secure development. They also do unsecured development.
Often, they use ClearCase multisite in a way that allows one way syncs from the unsecured area(s) to the secure area. However, per security rules, no multisite syncs are allowed from the secure area to insecure areas.
Any developer working in an insecure area has no idea what development is being done in the secure area. Not only do they not have read access to the changes, they don't even see any evidence that any development is being done.
Can something like that be set up with distributed RTC servers?
I know we support deliveries to a remote server but I don't know if the security model is such that we could use it in a secure environment.
Do we know if RTC is suitable for emulating the one way Multisite use case?

It sounds like you want to use distributed and have the server in the secure area not accept any connections from outside the secure area. I imagine this could be done with VPN. Then you could still accept changes to the secure server from the insecure server.
Everything sounds like you can do this with distributed as long as the secure server can contact the insecure server.
