scm status output width

This seems like a stupid question, but how do I prevent "scm status" from truncating its output? I want to use the output of that command as input to another for checking in, but the file names are truncated.

I couldn't find anything on the forum.

Thanks
Dave

Just after trying a few things and searching the web, I tried setting bash's COLUMNS environment variable on Linux to 132. It worked!

I hope someone else finds this helpful.
