Installing WebApps on Tomcat

David Kelly (1133) | asked Aug 18 '11, 12:01 p.m.
Hello,

I would like to deploy a custom web application on a Tomcat server running Jazz Team Server. I've done this in the past in my test environment by adding a user and modifying the tomcat-users.xml file to grant the user the "manager" role in order to access the Tomcat deployment manager.

This time however, the server uses LDAP authentication for its users and I'm not sure how to grant the "manager" role to any users. In the Jazz admin console to create users, there is an option to grant roles to the new user, but "manager" is not one of the available roles.

Is there any documentation available for granting the Tomcat "manager" role to a Jazz Team Server user?

Thanks,
Dave

I've mitigated the problem by transferring the .war file of my application to Tomcat's auto-deploy directory via FTP (or SSH).
