Installing as a service on a 64 bit Windows server

Daryl Walters (2138) | asked Aug 16 '11, 4:21 p.m.
Having some problems getting this to run as a service on a 64 bit Windows 2008 Server R2 machine, using Apache Tomcat and SQL Server. Runs fine when I start up using the server.startup.bat file, but won't work as a service.

Followed the instructions to copy over the tomcat exe from the area for 64 bit system and use the service.bat to install as a service. Set the JVM path and the options according to instructions as well. When trying to start the service I get a error and it states to look in the system event log. But there is no useful information at all in the log.

Anyone successfully set this up with a similar configuration?

Thanks in advance...
