Database size increasing even after purging

Ankit Kothari (1361616) | asked Aug 14 '11, 2:11 a.m.
Hi,

I have seen many posts regarding database size issue, but never came across any solution.

I have purged all the jobs and yet the database size is not increasing. It is growing with every project run. I have cleaned/purged all the jobs.

Is there a way to delete the entries from database, or purging the jobs should do it?

Thanks
Ankit

as noted in the other thread you posted in, purging jobs from the DB should decrease the amount of data stored. (but possibly not decrease size on disk)

However, depending on your version, there have been some identified holes where DB records are orphaned, and as such not purged.

So, how should I get rid of space consumed by Build Forge Database?

And, I am using the latest version of build forge.

Thanks

Depending on the database vendor you may need to perform a db shrink to see the reclaimed space.
