unable to edit UI sketch (content generation error)

Hi,

We have installed CLM 3.0.1 test server (all applications), deployed Money that Matters, and trying RRC functionality. However I cannot open any User interface sketch, Storyboard, etc.. On Web UI I see:
ID CRRRW8010E A server error prevented the generation of the content. Refresh your browser to generate the content again. If the problem persists, there might be an issue with the server. Ask your administrator to check the server status.

In conf/server/logs/rm.log I see this error message:

I use RRC 3.0.1, FF 3.6.19 with RRCBrowserAddOn 3.0.1.0_2

Do you have any ideas, what could go wrong, or where to check other logs?

Thanks,
Attila

Sorry, but I don't have access to that server (and I'm not sure you want to be posting that in a public forum).

What I need to know is what type of server is this? Is it Windows (what version) or Linux (what flavor)? Again, the browser is not going to be the issue for a problem viewing graphical artifacts.

After a lot of failed attempts installing the RRCBrowserAddIn in RCR 3.0.1.1, I was finally able to do so.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to edit diagrams.

When using Firefox 11.0, I click "Edit" on an existing or new diagram, and while the diagramming icons are displayed, the canvas remains grey.

When using IE9, while the canvas turns white, when I click an icon, as soon as I move the cursor over the canvas, an error message is displayed: "Internet Explorer has stopped working".

Any suggestions please?

Thanks, Dave.

I am facing this error drawing a sketch on RRC 3.0.1.1.

ID CRRRW8010E A server error prevented the generation of the content. Refresh your browser to generate the content again. If the problem persists, there might be an issue with the server. Ask your administrator to check the server status.

I looked through the old posts on the forum, followed the below links to JazzWiki and an APAR and found a bunch of work items on the project dashboard.

https://jazz.net/jazz03/web/projects/Requirements%20Management#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.search&q=CRRRW8010E

So far, it is not clear with what release this problem has been resolved, and whether it has been seen on Windows and platforms other than Linux in headless mode.

Can someone respond and let me know if there is a fix/patch for Windows, or if this is a new defect that needs to be created?

Thanks,

Vivek

I'm not quite sure from your post, but if the problem is with editing diagrams (not simply viewing them), then the issue is not related to the converter or the server. Editing is purely a browser add-on function that is client side.

Actually, let me take that back a bit. If the diagram embeds other graphical artifacts and the problem is with the embed, then that could well be converter related.

I would recommend contacting support and opening a ticket so that an investigation can be done (review of environment, requesting/review of logs, possible web sessions, etc so the problem can be properly diagnosed).
