Available Cognos tools on RRDI

Hi,
We are now trying to install RRDI. Please let me know about related Cognos tools. I'm seeing following article. http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.rational.rr.usage.doc/topics/t_rr_launch_cognos_jazzui.html Q1, Can we use following Cognos tools without purchasing license of them? 1, Cognos Connection 2, Cognos Report Studio 3, Cognos Query Studio Q2, If Q1 is yes, is there another Cognos tools we can use without purchasing the license? |

Hello.
Q1. Yes these three tools are included in RRDI and you are entitled to use them when you purchase one or more of the CLM applications. Q2. For RRDI these are the main productivity tools included. We also offer Rational Insight as a separately licensed product that includes everything RRDI included, plus it provides Cognos tools that are used for customizations and additional integrations such as Data Manager and Framework Manager. Hello. Hi, Thank you for your answer :) Let me ask one more question. I understand Insight provides some other Cognos tools. So, these three tools Cognos Connection, Cognos Report Studio and Cognos Query Studio are all Cognos tools included in RRDI? or is there another Cognos tool included in RRDI? |

As stated above, Insight includes the Cognos Framework Manager, Data Manager client (RRDI includes the Data Manager runtime), and Event Studio Thank you very much for your answer :) Let me clarify following thing. What I want to know here is what Cognos tools are included in RRDI without Insight. Because there is not such information in infocenter or Jazz.net. So far, in this post, I got the information that following Cognos tools are included in RRDI. Cognos Connection Cognos Report Studio Cognos Query Studio Data Manager runtime Are there some other Cognos tools included in RRDI? or no other Cognos tool is included in RRDI? |
