launchpad extraction failure under aix 5.3

Chris Cawthorne (962819) | asked Jun 17 '08, 7:11 a.m.
I previously installed the jazz 0.6 beta under aix 5.3. I have now deleted that and I'm trying to install the latest release but the installation fails with:

Extraction failed. Terminated.

while uncompressing the launchpad installer from

RTC-Standard-Full-1.0RC4-Linux-Web.sh

The '--check' option says everything is OK.
If I use '--tar vtf' it lists everything
If I use '--tar vxf' it fails with a directory checksum error (-264670272 != 46465). It does this immediately after extracting file:

./rtc/linux/plugins/com.ibm.cic.agent.core.nativeInstallAdapter.linux_1.2.2.v20071210-HEAD/META-INF

I don't know whether it's releated to the problem but this file appears twice (in 2 consecutive lines) in the output from 'tar -vtf'.

Do you know whether this should extract OK under aix 5.3?

If you head over to the Eclpse wiki on Webahead, you will find
instructions on how to install on AIX.
