Setting Up Live Reporting for RQM using RRDi
I am trying to setup Live Reporting following the instructions on the Information Center; but my Operation Live Reports folder which is under my Sample Report Definitions is empty.
I will like to know if this has to do with an option i may have not selected during the imports of the Archive files for QM,CCM and RM. IC link: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.rational.rcpr.help.doc/topics/t_testing_the_live_reports.html |

Rudolph,
You might want to double-check -- while following the http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.rational.rcpr.help.doc/topics/t_import_data_model_package.html page in the info center for importing the archive files, on the "Select the public folder content" page (step 7 in the help topic), did you select the folders in the small table of the selectable folders? |
Note, though that we do not really provide any sample reports for Live
reporting. Once your imported the reports you see two listed under Public Folders > Sample Report Definitions > QM > Operational (Live) Reports. These are two legacy reports from RQM 2 that we are still shipping, but they will only work with work items that are stored locally on the RQM server. In CLM you would now store work items on a separate CCM server. However, Live does not support such cross-app reports. So, in effect there are no Live sample reports for you to use in this release. Generally, we recommend caution when designing Live reports for scalability as only selects will be performed on the app server and joins will be done in memory on the reports server once the selected data is received. For long running Live reports it might be a good idea to run them on a schedule in an interval that is still acceptable to the report users. Best regards, Peter Haumer. |
