Synchornization failed: Unable to execute cleartool command

Roderick Thomas (661179) | asked Jul 19 '11, 5:43 p.m.
Trying to initiate a few syncs and I'm getting the following error:

Synchronization failed: Unable to execute cleartool commands - ensure that ClearCase is running on the local client by using the ClearCase Control Panel applet to start ClearCase

The problem is the "Services Startup" tab in the Clearcase Properties panel shows all services running both on the client and server.

What else should be checked?

You'll want to try to run cleartool and try to cd into the DO_NOT_USE
view. You'll probably get an error message, which will tell you what
is wrong with ClearCase on the sync host machine.

And if that doesn't work, you'll want to open a ticket with Rational
Support, or submit a work item on jazz.net.

Cheers,
Geoff
