RTC 3.0.1 - Package Definitions - Option shiplist file

Donald Poulin (2249119107) | asked Oct 03 '11, 10:49 a.m.
If you want to combine additional members to a shiplist created by a package by work item definition I understand you can create an "Optional Shiplist File". When the package is "executed" it will merge the optional one with the package by WI generated one - correct?

Also can you provide a sample (few lines) of an optional shiplist file so I can see what it needs to contain and the format - for example does it need the timestamp information for each member?

Yes, that is correct, we will take the WI outputs and the members in the optional shiplist and create a package based on that.

I can't copy a shiplist file here, but you can see an example shiplist file in our z/OS Packaging User Scenario: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/ZPackagingAndDeployment301#1_4_Create_edit_the_Shiplist_fil
