RC4 can't read Beta2 Repositories?

I am trying to get RC4 to read a beta2 derby repositryDB with no luck. I'm still a newbie and need assistance with this. There is some urgency to this as we are trying to present this technlogy to customers.

Background: Received some hands-on Beta2 training using a sample repositoryDB and Workitemindex. Then - in a separate environemnt, downloaded and installed RC4 team server and client. Went through the WebUI to create an empty RepositoryDB using the fast-path steps and created some users. Stopped the tomcat server, and tried to manually file copy the repositoryDB and Workitemindex folders from training to the respective folders. Started Tomcat and received all sorts of errors connecting both from the web as well as from the client.

I'm sure there are some steps missing I need to do. I find it unlikely that one can't migrate forward. If anyone can assist asap that would be great. I'd appreciate direct contact to get me jumpstarted and then I can post what we did to correct this in this forum.

Thanks

The Beta2 and RC4 repositories are not compatible. You need to use the
repotools to migrate your repository from Beta2 to RC4. Here are the
instrucitons for migrating to Beta 3. They should be the same for RC4
