RTC 3.0.1 - lscm/scm under zOS OMVS - login password

Donald Poulin (2249119107) | asked Jul 12 '11, 12:41 p.m.
When using the command line interface under zOS OMVS - for the user's password - can that be an encrypted password either by the bfagent command or the SBLZSAMP member BLZPASS? If not what is the recommended way to execute an OMVS script from a "Command Line - Rational Build Agent" and supply the user ID and password?

I am aware how to do the encryption - my question really is will my CLI command work if I pass as a parameter an encrypted password for the user id that I specify. And since there are two different encryption processes, if I can use an encrypted password - which encryption process do I use?

You are able to use an encrypted PW or file on the bfAgent command and the CLI will figure it out. It also looks like the members within SBLZSAMP can be used as well.
