RQM QTP Adapter error with RQM 3.0.1

Im trying to use RQM QTP adapter with RQM 3.0.1. After the adapter is successfully connected, I get a message, "stored configuration is out of sync".

And the adapter does not show up in the RQM Adapter console. How can this issue be resolved? I have also tried using alias project names and also mapped the machine's ip to hostname in the hosts file

I assume you are using the QTP adapter downloaded from the All Downloads
page of RQM 3.0.1. That should be RQM-QTP-Adapter-v2.0.1.2.zip.

The install.html shows paths for a server that uses /jazz as the context
root. But by default RQM 3.0.1 uses /qm as the context root. This
impacts the steps which talk about the provision_profiles directory and
command to reset server. They should use /qm instead of /jazz. You can
know if the QTP plugins are installed into RQM server by looking for HP
QTP script type in the type drop down when you Create Test Script.

Here are some other ideas:

1) Make sure the URL you are using for the adapter matches the
configured "Public URI" for your RQM application. You can see your
servers Public URI on the QM application admin page (i.e.
https://<server_name>:9443/qm/admin). You want to configure the adapter
to use this exact URL. Usually this isn't a short name or IP address.

2) View the profile for the user for which the adapter is using and
verify under the Repository Permissions the user has JazzUsers selected.

3) In the user profile also verify they have a RQM "Quality
Professional" or a "Connector" client access license. If they only have
RQM "Contributor" client access license, then that's likely your issue.

4) View the project area admin page for the RQM project area the adapter
is connecting to. Make sure the adapter user is a member of this
project area and has been assigned to the "Test Team Member" role. Not
the "Test Team Contributor" role. If you have made any modifications to
these roles, then that can also be problematic for the adapter.

Hi,

I am having the same issue with RQM QTP Adapter. I have below questions for you.
1) the Help content for installing is confusing especially for 3.0.1.what i understand is rqm qtp adapter help is not updated with 3.0.1 which is creating confusion during the installation.
Below are the examples:
in one of the the section help talks about jazz, where it is jts or qm

I tried all your below options but still i dont see QTP adapter getting listed in the adapter console, i feel more comfortable in RQM 2.0 where as in 3.0.1 it makes more complicated.
I am trying to run a feasiblity test in order to prove that RQM can be integrated with QTP, please provide the solution or detailed steps in getting out of this issue.

Also, please let me know how to uninstall the QTP adapter, is it possible to uninstall the QTP adapter. If so how.

Thanks & Regards,
Jayakrishna

I hope you are logged in to the same project area in RQM which you have given in the QTP adapter.
There is no explicit way to uninstall but you can delete the installed folder, and start menu and desktop shortkuts and clean the adapter.
