Issues with Link Validation Policy

We see some issues with Link validation policy.

1) Whenever any URL with https is given in any asset, the policy fails even though the URL is valid and opening fine in browsers. When the same URL is changed from https to http, the policy passes without any issues.

2) Also in some cases, the policy fails even when the URL have http and is valid.

Whats the reason behind this behavior? Is this a bug?

This sounds like it could be a bug. Please open a defect with the exact steps to reproduce the problem.

have you seen anything special in the log files? (Administrator tab -> Tools, Support logs files link)
