Automating user login to view reports

When running a report from the Eclipse client, the request is satisfied by the web client. The user is initially asked to log into the web client to view the report. I've been asked to investigate whether it's possible to automatically login the user. So far I can't find a way to do this. Does anyone know whether this is possible.

The RTC Eclipse report viewer is just an embedded HTML viewer. So if you save the user and password, you won't be asked to enter them again.
