Timezones

Maria Velasco (4641) | asked Apr 21 '09, 4:05 p.m.
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can verify if Rational Team Concert always takes the time zone from the user's machine? Or is there anyway to set it up so that when you log in from any machine using different time zones, Rational Team Concert will use just one time zone that is maybe set by the server, if that's possible.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

The RTC client displays times using the local machine's timezone
information. I don't think what you describe (having an RTC client show
times using the server timezone) is possible currently, but perhaps I
don't fully understand the request. Can you give some more information
about your use case?

Thanks,

Make sure you set your user's time zone. Click on your username and go to Work environment tab, then select time zone.

The default will be the server's time zone which is controlled by the operating system the server is installed on, I believe.
