Shared Work Items amongst Project Areas - as reusable assets

I would like to find out if anyone has or knows how to, extend RTC 3.x to enable the creation of work items that are shared amongst Project Areas.

Context: We are growing in Project Areas and anticipate this growth to be quite significant, hence I would like to create a Project Area that houses all the work items as "reusable assets", whereby having one location to maintain work items and also be able to enable project areas with the right types/styles of work items based on permissions.

Purpose: One location for managing work items, which will improve maintenance and this could have its own process template that is maintained.

Usage: If enabled, through process sharing, if would mean the shared work items would appear in the list of work items in addition to the project area's local work items. This would function like "global" work items.

Hoping I understand what you want, Process Sharing is already possible through http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.jazz.platform.doc/topics/c_sharing_project_area_process.html
To use a "common" Project Area to store work items I think http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.team.workitem.doc/topics/t_linking_work_items_to_remote_repos_web.html and http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v3r0m1/topic/com.ibm.jazz.repository.web.admin.doc/topics/tenableoslc.html , using the "Provides - Related Change Requests" Association might be your starting points.

@ Sudhakarf:

Great, thank you, you answered my question, as one of your links allowed me to view the following:

It can be done, I am just now working out how to restrict certain work items from being viewed within specific project areas. But now I can have one location for all work items and share them amongst any project area.
