How to restrict actions on a workitem or edits on attributes

I can see that we can define different workitem types and bind them to different workflows. The workflows are configurable in terms of actions, states, transitions and resolutions. What I don't see yet is how to restrict who can perform certain actions or further who can edit certain attributes. Is this possible?

I see you haven't got any answer yet. By now I guess you know how to do
this...anyway here it is: You can configure these permissions on the
Process Configuration page of either the project area editor or a team
area editor. Select the 'Permissions' node within the Team Configuration
section that reflects the scope you want to configure. Select the work
item save operation. As children of the operation you see all actions
that the work item save operation can perform. Allow/disallow the
actions that reflect the workflow transitions or the attributes you care
about by checking/unchecking them.
