Bulk update tags of assets

iRAM Administrator (3152156135) | asked May 25 '11, 8:28 a.m.
One of our users got their community name changed. All the assets in the community are tagged with a particular tag (say, old community name). Now they want all the assets in their community to be tagged with a different text (say, new community name).
Please suggest us to ways to accomplish this task.

Tags are registered and owned by the user that applied the tag to the
asset. There is no way for anyone other than the user herself to change
the tag.

A suggestion in the future is not to use something like community name
as a tag. Since you can search on a community anyway there is no need to
duplicate it in a tag.

A user can perform a bulk update of their own tags. Navigate to 'My Dashboard' and click the 'View all' link in the 'My Tags' section which is in the top right of the page. From this page the user can select one of their tags and rename it.
