Number of custom attributes for a work item

Hi all.

How many custom attributes could I have for a work item / project area? Is there a limit for that?

CLM Help has an Attention note suggesting support for 100 custom attributes per type.

There is a limit when it comes to custom attributes

"Each work item type can support up to 100 custom attributes."

Additionally, there is a 500 limit per project area.
