Is there a way to do a parcial backup of the RTC repository?

Looking for articles or forum topics about RTC backup, I found this article:
http://jazz.net/library/article/547.

In this article, there are interesting guidelines for backing up RTC from a complete perspective.

My question is if it is possible to backup and restore only part of the repository. For instance, a project area, a stream or a component in case it gets corrupted.

Any hint will be much appreciate,

M. Jos.

Currently the repositories can only be manipulated as a complete unit, so if there is a problem with one project area that cannot be reversed the entire repository needs to be restored.

Note that there is a work item (139327) requesting the ability to
restore a single project area from backup. Please feel free to add a
comment indicating your interest/support.
