IE 8 and 9 Java settings

jim Stevens (129) | asked Aug 09 '13, 8:43 a.m.

HI

In RTC when I select the down arrow on the menu bar the menu flashes and will not allow you to select any of the options. I think this is a JAVA setting in IE or on the java console however I have not been able to identify the exact setting that controls this behaivor.

Any suggestions?

Thank You

Jim

Hi Jim,
I would investigate it in following way:
1. In IE 9 press F12 to enable developer tools.
2. Reproduce the issue => You should have any error message in console tab. Could you provide this error message?

Best regards,

Hi Jim,

The first thing that comes to mind is to validate being able to execute jvascript in IE has not been disabled.
Questions:
1. Does this issue occur in firefox
2. Does the issue occur in both IE 8 and 9
3. Which version of RTC is being used
4. Can you provide more details about the menu..is it on a workitem, is it a custom attribute, ext..
