About the interval to backup or to restore CCM and JTS

Hello,

How long should we take an interval to backup or to restore CCM and JTS? Especially in case of "online backup".

According to the following article, it is mentioned about the importance of the order the sequence of the backup and restore operations, but it is not clear about an interval.
*Considerations for Rational Team Concert 3.x backups

"When restoring from an online backup make sure to restore the CCM database from a point in time shortly before the JTS database backup."

Thanks.

Hi,

to my knowledge there is no interval that needs to be considered. The JTS and CCM app should run on servers with synchronized clocks. JTS will sync data received later and not in CCM yet in. So the only requirement is that the CCM backup point is from before the JTS backup point.
