.retry and Log filters

Does anyone know if adding a log filter to highlight errors will cause a .retry to not occur? I want to be able to be notified if a certain error occurs but it appears that once BuildForge sees an error that matches a string in my filter the .retry is ignored. The log filter is only set to warn. Also this step is being called from a library.
I'm using 7.1.1.4 -0-0148

I just realized though that in 1 project the retry does occur after encountering something in the same warning filter group but in another project it's not. The project that works & project that doesn't works is pass chained from an uber-project.
